As a visual artist, Michiko plays with different materials, objects (or lack of objects), images and words. For Michiko, it is the process – the journey and its encounters, marks, movements, shadows, traces, fragments, memories – which is most significant.
Michiko is particularly focused on working creatively with children and is currently involved in action research working collaboratively with Early Years children, practitioners and parents.
